Who this is for: All residents.
Use the service that matches the incident. An estate group message can alert neighbours but does not create a council or police report.
What do I need to do?
- Emergency: call 999. Report non-emergency crime online or on 101. Official police contact guidance.
- Noise happening now: telephone 020 7525 5777. Southwark’s noise team aims to respond within an hour and currently lists daily rapid-response hours of 8am–4am, with a Christmas closure. These are published service arrangements, not a guaranteed visit. If the noise has stopped, use the online report linked from Noise and nuisance contacts.
- Other antisocial behaviour: use Southwark’s ASB reporting page, or call 020 7525 5777. Its categories include threats, harassment, drug-related problems, and misuse of mopeds. Where relevant, report the issue to your landlord too.
What information will I need?
Write down dates, times, location, what you directly observed, and its effect on you. Keep council and police reference numbers separate. Describe uncertainty clearly: a smell or sound does not prove which household caused it. Provide personal health information or evidence privately to the investigating service.
What happens next?
Ask which team is handling the report and what further evidence it needs. Keep a factual incident diary if the behaviour continues. Do not confront someone if that might put you at risk, and do not publish names, door numbers, or unverified allegations.
If there is a problem
Follow up the existing reference and use the relevant organisation’s complaint process if you are unhappy with its response. For a council service failure, see Make a complaint.
For local policing concerns, see the Dulwich Wood neighbourhood team contacts. Use the reporting routes above for crime and emergencies.
